Exchange of Sisters
The General Chapter 2015 has recommended among others, various forms of rapprochement and exchanges among the sisters at the different stages of life.
In 2015, in the context of the ‘Year of Consecrated Religious Life’, an international meeting of younger sisters took place in Münster, the "cradle" of our international congregation. This was a meaningful experience. In addition to that meeting, we are happy and grateful to be able to inform also of other forms of exchanges that some sisters could experience in other countries: when they went there for learning the language, or engaged in the apostolic services, followed a professional training and/or a formation.
Sr. Margaret Mabvuto from the Region Malawi is in the Province of Curitiba, Brazil, since March 2017; Sr. Yulia Silalahi from our Indonesian Province is in the Province Florianópolis since February 2018; Sr. Maristela Christiano from the Province Florianópolis is in Indonesia since February 10, 2019.
Recently the Province of Porto Alegre has invited Sr. Faines Beni and Sr. Grace Tsoka - two Juniors from Malawi – to come to Porto Alegre, to continue their way of formation, to learn the Portuguese language and to make a professional training there. They flew to Brazil on April 24, 2019.
On May 15, the Postulant Elisa Wirarde from Mozambique travelled to Brazil, to continue her formation in the Latin American postulancy in Curitiba.
Sr. Prisca Phwandaphwanda from Malawi is expected travel to Florianópolis by the end of June to learn the Portuguese language there.
Dear Sisters, we wish you enriching experiences in the interculturality of our congregation.
