Visit and pilgrimage from Jakarta to Central Java by Teachers and Staff from the school St. Yoseph
On 19 October 2016, after completing the first half of the semester, the teachers and staff of the school St. Yoseph drove from Jakarta to Semarang. All together they were 82 people. The activity was led by Sr. Cendra and Sr. Xaveria and aimed at getting to know the works of the Sisters of Divine Providence in Central Java, Indonesia. The teachers and staff not only visited the schools and other activities, run by the Providence Sisters in Semarang and Temanggung, but also the Children's home Pangrekso Dalem, as well as the old sisters in their community Pondok Haran in Semarang. Their visit ended with a pilgrimage to GUA Kerep Ambarawa and to the Church Hati Kudus Ganjuran, in Yogyakarta.
With such activities, the Indonesian Providence Sisters and their employees attempt to realize the decision of the General Chapter 2015, namely, to promote and live a Culture of encounter.
