On February 28, 2023, I was once again very touched and my heart beat stronger by an experience I had here at the nutrition project in Entre Lagos, Mozambique. This has to do with a teenager, the brother of the twins, who are cared for here in the nutrition project.
The mother is sick and cannot come to the mission to fetch milk for her babies. So she sends her eldest son. The distance to cover is long, about 30 kilometers. The roads are difficult, covered with water and a lot of mud, here known as Matope. The path is taken with joy. Every step that is done turns into hope that his brothers will regain their health. The milk offered is not just "milk", but a drop of life, a sign of hope.
This milk is a multi-mix that contains seeds, milk and other nutrients. This also includes the presence of so many people, Sisters of Divine Providence, family members, benefactors and friends who, without knowing the existence of the food project, are united with us through their prayers and donations.
