This took place at our Provincial house in Florianópolis during a beautiful Eucharistic celebration presided over by Father Vânio and Father Victor Hugo, in the presence of our sisters from different communities. During the novitiate, the young sisters will deepen their lives in following Jesus and take further steps in the consolidation of their vocation to consecrated religious life. Let us pray for them and for the sisters of the Formation Community, Sister Bárbara and Sister Ilse, together with the Novice-mistress, Sister Clarice, so that they may have rich experiences together.
The novices expressed themselves as follows: "They went and stayed with him (John 1:39)". After five days of preparation through a retreat, given to them by Sister Rosiléa, Aparecida Maia, the day of admission into the novitiate was marked by emotions, surprises and gestures of love. Confirmed in being called by the providential God, we took this new step in following Jesus Christ as Sisters of Divine Providence. We were accepted into the novitiate by Sister Beatriz Zanatta, the Provincial Superior, who represents the Provincial Community of Sisters. Inspired by the liturgy of the day, Fr. Vânio left gave us a message about the meaning of the mantle - a symbol of our willingness to adopt the charism, spirituality, history and constitutions of the Congregation. The many loving gestures of the people before and after the celebration filled us with great joy. We are grateful to everyone who was involved in our formation and who helped prepare for this festive day. We also thank all those who have been associated with us and ask you to continue to pray for our perseverance."
