Eleven young ladies join the congregation of the Sisters of Divine Providence as Postulants and Novices in Malawi
This year 2019, on 3rd November as we were celebrating the 177th anniversary of the Sisters of Divine Providence’s existence on earth, the Lord blessed us with seven (7) young ladies who joined the Congregation as postulants in Trinity Convent Chapel in Muona – Chikwawa Diocese. Their names are: Rabecca Julius, Rhoda Limani, Prisca Bester Efudala, Monica Matthias, Monica Eduard, Alinafe Meresia Mjeliwa and Steria Foster Sande.
Interestingly, on 1st November 2019, the four postulants also started their Noviciate at Eduard Michelis Formation House - Bvumbwe in Thyolo (Blantyre Archdiocese). These include: Mary Banda, Memory Masanza, Loveness Nasiyaya and Priscilla Kamoyo.
Both ceremonies werde witnessed and graced by Sr. Agnes Banda, our Regional Superior. While the entry into postulancy was conducted during a colourful Versper, the entry into Noviciate was presided over by Fr Samuel Satiere (Montfortian) as the Parish priest of Bvumbwe Parish with a solemn Holy Mass.
It is very encouraging to see that both groups are very happy to be part of the Sisters of Divine Providence family and they are ready to be shaped into the life style of the Congregation. We are happy too to have received these young ladies as a gift from God, the God who provides us with everything. This assures us of the continuity of the Congregation in the future of Malawi Region and the entire Congregation.
Most importantly, we are proudly to announce yet to receive 4 newly professed sisters on 9th November 2019.
Indeed His Providence guides everything! May His Mighty Holy Name be glorified Forever! Long Live Sisters of Divine Providence!
(Sister Elizabeth Balala)
