First Profession in Malawi
On the first Saturday of June 6, 2020 the Sisters of Divine Providence in African Continent specifically in Malawi Region, rushed to Eduard Michellis Formation House in Thyolo District, in the Archdiocese of Blantyre, to witness the ceremony of saying the first YES to God of Agnes Magombo.
Sr Agnes comes from St Mary's Parish in Machinga District in the diocese of Mangochi. The ceremony was graced and presided over by his Lordship Thomas Luke Msusa, the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Blantyre who was accompanied by some priests from the neighborhood.
However, due to the Covid19 pandemic which has affected the whole world, the number of people in attendance was limited inorder to adhere to the preventive measures of this deadly pandemic. Therefore, it was only us the Sisters of Divine Providence and very few from the neighbourhood who attended the feast.
As of now, Sr Agnes feels very happy that she has received what she has been desiring for so long. She feels cared and embraced by the love of our Providencial Father and she is very ready to serve Him as a Sister of Divine Providence.
Most importantly, we the Sisters in the Region are very grateful to God for this precious gift he has given to us. We are proud that we are still growing in number as the Region. May God of Providence continue blessing us with many vocations in all the four continents we are found. Long live the Sisters of Divine Providence!
