Celebration of Sister Caudência's First Profession in Mozambique
"If anyone wants to follow me, let her deny herself, take up her cross and follow me." (Matthew 16:24)
On May 5, 2024, Sister Caudência Celestino made her first profession as a Sister of Divine Providence and gave her "yes" to God's call. At the Eucharistic celebration at 9 a.m. in the parish of Santa Maria Mãe de Deus in the Entre-Lagos region, Mozambique, God was praised and thanked. Present were: Sr. Beatriz Zanatta, Provincial Coordinator and Sr. Maria Eloní Coczenski, Provincial Assistant, her family, friends and community. Sr. Clarice Inês Thomé, novice mistress, and her fellow sisters from the community and from the Malawi region also participated.
In this first year of the ‘Province of the Sisters of Divine Providence’ in Brazil, we are happy and grateful that God's Providence continues to call young people to walk with us in our Congregation. Thanks to the family of the sister who put their daughter at the service of the Kingdom of God in the Congregation of the ‘Sisters of Divine Providence’. Thank you to all those who supported and contributed to her formation. May God continue to bless our Congregation with many young women who want to join us!
Sister Caudência expressed herself as follows: "The celebration of my consecration to God was a special and memorable day in my life. In the Gospel of the day, it said: "Abide in my love". I felt motivated and confirmed on my path to follow Jesus Christ. It was a day full of emotion and joy, praising God for His presence in my life. I felt blessed and strengthened by the presence of my family, my friends, the provincial coordination, represented by Sisters Beatriz Zanatta and Maria Eloní, Sisters from Malawi, my novice mistress, Sr. Clarice Inês, and other sisters present.
Thanks also to the parish of Holy Mary, Mother of God, who welcomed me, and to the sisters for their solidarity to me. God bless you all! Pray for me!"
