Happy and Blessed Easter!
Dear Sisters!
The light of the Risen Christ breaks through the darkness of death and brings forth new life!
To celebrate Easter means experiencing the centre of our faith, which becomes visible and tangible in our everyday life and mission. In the power of this love we know that we are united with you on this joyful day of Christ's Resurrection!
In the light of faith, we realize that our life is developing in the Easter Dynamic. We understand that the Cross is the way to the Resurrection; this understanding gives us strength to be able to pass through difficult situations with confidence and hope. We are still experiencing global uncertainty. This time invites us to reflect on the true meaning of life and on how we have to shape this life in harmony with the whole creation. The concern for life awakens in us more and more the awareness that our actions, however simple, have an effect on the whole (or: affect the whole). This is what Pope Francis says in the encyclical Frattelli Tutti (No. 17): caring for the world in which we live means to care for ourselves. Yet we need to think of ourselves more and more as a single family dwelling in a common home.
Faced with this reality, we received from the Risen Christ the indications of a way from death to life, from grief to hope and from silence to proclamation. With His love and care, He shows us the way, orientates us and stands by our side. His redeeming presence, step by step, is strength in our weakness and helps us to give our contribution so that the signs of resurrection can continue to grow in the world and become everyday attitudes.
The first disciples of Jesus experienced Him in different ways and in different places as the Risen One. Today we are also invited to discover and proclaim His message. He is among us, revealed in so many faces and in so many different ways, and shows us where life is in labor and crying out for help. To be led by Him is to accept - by the grace of the Spirit - the newness of the mission and to participate in the joy of a new time, which is filled with love and grace.
Let us be permeated by the joy and new life that comes from the Risen Christ, and may we be bearers of His light in the world!
United with our loving embrace, we wish you a ‘Happy and Blessed Easter’!
