2017 – jubilee-year of the congregation: 175 years under the guidance of God's Providence. Reason for Thanksgiving! 2017 - also a jubilee-year of many sisters. Among them is Sister Lucia Weiler, who celebrated her Golden Jubilee.
Sr. Lucia, a Brazilian, is a member of the General Coordination; she was able to celebrate her 50th anniversary of Religious Life in the Provincial house, Friedrichsburg, on 28th January 2017. Many sisters of the German province participated in this celebration, as well as representatives from the Netherlands, Malawi, Indonesia and Brazil. Prof. Feiter deepened during the Eucharistic Celebration the motto of our Jubilee-Sister: "Morning by morning, he wakens my ear, to hear as those who are taught" (Isaiah 50, 4 b).
The reception and lunch gave opportunity to meet each other and to congratulate Sr. Lucia.
Our thanks goes towards God, who is calling you, Sr. Lucia, day by day to follow Jesus Christ, he consecrates, sends and supports your steps. Our thanks goes also to you, Sr. Lucia, for your witness and your tireless commitment. A big thank you to the German province, allowing us to celebrate in the Provincial house and hence was our hostess.
