In this fourth stage of our renewal process, we would like to be in solidarity with the situations of our brothers and sisters in the African continent that challenge our mercy.
This is a third missionary expansion place of our congregation which started in Malawi 57 years ago in the year 1960 by the five sisters from Germany and Holland.
As we continue our process of renewal in this year of mercy in our congregation, we would like to thank God particularly for the love, courage, perseverance and readiness of the first sisters and all the missionary sisters of Divine Providence who lived and worked in Africa. They started the mission which is currently continued by Malawian sisters.
We would like also to give thanks to God for the missionary commitment of our sisters from Latin American and Malawi who worked among the poor population in Mozambique since 1994 after the long time of civil war. They dedicated themselves in a especial way for the education of children and women. Let us remember the people in Mozambique in our prayers.
