On November 3, 2022, the Province of the Heart of Jesus celebrated the 180th anniversary of the Congregation with a Feast, organized by the Province and the Divine Providence Society.
The event took place at CEAR (Centre of Evangelization Angelino Rosa), in Governor Celso Ramos/SC, and brought together approximately 500 people, including 56 Sisters and 415 Collaborators from the religious organization and works. It is worth mentioning the presence of Sr. Maria Beatriz Mohr, representing the General Coordination, as well as representatives of the Union of Private Schools of the State of Santa Catarina (SINEPE/SC), National Association of Catholic Education in Brazil (ANEC/SC), Publishers FTD and SM, partners and special guests.
The program began with a moment of prayer, memory of the congregational history and videos of the mission in the work. A Thanksgiving Mass was then celebrated, presided over by Bishop João Francisco Salm, with the presence of the priests: Vânio da Silva, Vilson Groh, Francisco Wloch, Anderson Ramos and Márcio Vignoli; and deacon Jorge Daniel Campos.
After a lunch reception, those present were able to enjoy cultural artistic presentations from each College of the network of Divine Providênce, CEI Our Lady of Mount Serrat and the Province of the Heart of Jesus. Thereafter was the launch of the book “Eduard Michelis: his influence on Education and Training”, by Sr. Montfort-Gabriëls, translated by Sr. Imelda Bieger, who signed some copies that were distributed to those present. A special fact was the presence of family members of Sr. Imelda, who made the moment even more meaningful. The feast day ended with a Sending Blessing and everyone was invited to enjoy a delicious coffee.
