The global coronavirus crisis poses major challenges for all of us. At the same time, however, it is also an opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Jesus Christ - our Horizon - to search with HIM the will of God. In the power of the Gospel, we Sisters of Divine Providence are strengthened and sent to give new answers from faith. Our common charism calls us to show solidarity with each other, especially with those who are most helpless and most vulnerable.
Let us unite with one another, especially in prayer! In our congregation we have common prayers, which we can now pray and thus be united with all our sisters and the people. An example of this is the prayer:
Eternal God, you have created us wonderfully, give us your grace so that the spirit of your Providence will always be with us. Take from our hearts all those empty sorrows, so that we may follow your boundless wisdom in all times.
Help us with our weaknesses. Give us a new heart, change us!
Make our hearts simple, poor and sensitive!
Give us an open heart that shows solidarity above all with those people, who are outsiders of life, who know no way out.
May they experience a little hope through our presence! Amen
