Last monastery flea market at the convent
The sun was brilliant when the flea market opened its doors for the last time on 7 August at Haus Emmaus after two years of corona break.
Under the motto "Everything has to come out", books, games as well as some useful and beautiful things found new owners. A well-filled buffet thanks to numerous cake donations tempted to a "shopping break". Over coffee and cake as well as at the stalls, a wide variety of people met and got into conversation with each other in a relaxed, cheerful atmosphere.
As in the past, the proceeds of the flea market will be used to support social projects of our Sisters in Indonesia and the tasks in Haus Emmaus.
With a touch of melancholy, but also with joy about the often long relation, which will remain, even if the time of the flea markets ends, Sister Imelda, Sr. Ansveris and Regina Lemkamp thank all those who have made the monastery flea markets possible in the past through cake and material donations, through their helping hand at the stalls, during put up and take down the stalls, as well as washing the dishes.
