In a Chapter the respective regional- or provincial coordination is elected and new ways for the life and work of the sisters are opened up and voted on, which seem necessary for the coming years. Under the chairmanship of the General Coordinator, Sr. Márian Ambrosio, and in the presence of Sr. Lydia Liong, the Deputy General Coordinator, the chapter delegates of the Malawi Region elected the Regional Coordination on August 2, 2018. They are elected for a period of 5 years.
Sr. Agnes Banda was elected as Regional Coordinator, Sr. Matilda Likoto and Sr. Helena Mkaka as her Regional Assistants. Their term of office lasts for 5 years.
On behalf of the Congregation Sr. Márian Ambrosio and Sr. Lydia thanked the Sisters of the previous Coordination, Sr. Prisca Phwandaphwanda, Sr. Helena Mkaka and Sr. Grace Chimowa.
We wish the new Regional Coordination Team much joy and God's blessings for their task, and that the Sisters in Malawi, together with the new Regional Coordination, look into the future with much hope and courage.
