Election of the New Provincial Coordination in Indonesia
During the past few days, the Chapter-Delegates of the Indonesian province gathered together in Griya Paseban, Semarang. The chapter has among other things the task to reflect the work of the last term of office, which lasted from 2013-2018, and to discuss the current issues of religious life that concern us in terms of Church and Society.
The important elements of the business chapter include the provincial reports from the Administration (the Management), the Secretariat, from the Formation, the various Communities and of course also from the Works/Institutions of the sisters and the issue of Internationality. Besides that, the chapter looks also for new ways and concepts for the next 5 years.
On September 4, 2018, in Sidomukti, Jimbaran Bandungan, the members of the provincial coordination team (the leadership) were released from their term of office, which they held from 2013 till 2018, and bid farewell in a small ceremony.
The members included Sr. Klarista Laksmiwati (provincial superior), Sr. Priska Murwati (substitute), Sr. Hilda Tanusubanhi, Sr. Silvia Soegiharto and Sr. Grace Budiman.
Sr. Márian Ambrosio and Sr. Lydia Liong from General Coordination Team thanked the Sisters of the provincial coordination for their service and dedication for the benefit of the province.
After the closing of the business chapter, the election chapter took place from September 5th to 6th. Under the chairmanship of the general superior, Sr. Márian Ambrosio, and her Deputy, Sr. Lydia Liong, the new provincial coordination (leadership) was elected for a term of office of 2018 to 2023:

The Indonesian province is grateful for the completed chapter 2018 and will face the challenge of the next steps. Many thanks to all those, who have accompanied the chapter process with their service and their prayer, not to forget the consultant Father Bagus Laksana, SJ, and the moderator Father Agung, SJ, who led the chapter intensively and carefully.
