On the 9th January 2018 began in the morning the congregational council meeting with a warm welcome and a typical Indonesian dance by the Sisters of the Indonesian province "Maria star of the sea" in Semarang.
At the opening, Sr. Márian Ambrosio, our General Coordinator, referred to the meeting, which was held in Germany (Kloster Nette) in October 2016. She also reminded that, in accordance with our Constitutions, the congregational Council serves as a living connection and mutual relations between the General Coordination and the provinces, regions and communities.
“Our Horizon is Jesus Christ! With eyes focussed in Him, we are going to Bethany, the community, he loved. ‘Because Jesus loved Marta, her sister Mary and Lazarus’ (Jn 11,5)”.
This is the mysticism of the meeting, that will inspire the daily prayer and brings light into the work. The content of this meeting have as a focus the exchange and reflections on the implementation of the decisions and recommendations of the General Chapter 2015. They invite us to look hopefully to the future.
On the first day of the meeting, the participants were introduced into the current reality of Indonesia's, holy ground, which hosts us, and they began the prayerful way, which will be deepened in the coming two weeks.
