The Provincial Chapter in Cuiabá elects a new Provincial Coordination Team
On November 17, 2018, after confirmation the decisions, the Holy Spirit Province, based in Cuiabá/MT, Brazil, chose the new provincial coordination team for the next five years.
After a day of silence and reflection, on a text from the book of judges, chapter 5, in which the biblical woman Deborah accompanied us all, came the moment of the discernment.
Sr. Márian Ambrosio coordinated the election process in an atmosphere of respect. In this election, the Sisters Maria Regina de Oliveira, Dulce Maria de Abreu and Elizabeth Alves da Silva were elected.
Together with all sisters of the province and with the General Coordination, the (new) Team has agreed, to continue and still value the participatory and circular coordination with which the province has make good experiences for the past three terms.
During the celebration of the Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Aloir Pacini, SJ, the newly elected were solemnly blessed by the priest and by their fellow-sisters.
“Gratitude for the past, strength in the present and new steps for the future”. Our thanks today is given especially to the outgoing coordination because of their commitment and their loyal service in the last five years.
With a joyful heart we thank all the Sisters of the Provinces and Regions for the signs and gestures of love as well as the prayers and good wishes for the success of our provincial chapter.
