The Sisters of Divine Providence from the Province the ‘Heart of Jesus’ with its headquarter in Florianópolis, Brazil, are experiencing currently a historic moment as they conduct their 15th provincial chapter. This event is to strengthen us in our mission as consecrated women.
In the light of the theme "Confidently let us go out in order to defend life in a mystic-prophetic religious life!" and the motto "Here am I, send me!" (Isaiah 6.8) we set out on our way.
As a direct preparation, we experienced a day of reflection, led by P. Vânio da Silva on Monday, October 22. He gave us excellent impulses such as the Mission of Abraham, the conversion of the Samaritan woman, the meditation of lilies in the garden of life, the person of Jesus Christ.
The official opening of the chapter took place on Tuesday morning, October 23, during a Eucharistic celebration in the Church of the Provincial House. Many sisters from the communities of the province participated.
