From the 17th-19th December 2018, the first meeting of the new Coordination teams of the Provinces and Region of Latin America and the team Aliança met with the Generalcoordination, which was represented by Sr. Lucia Weiler, Sr. Maria Rita and Sr. Márian. The meeting took place at the provincial house of the ‘Heart of Jesus Province’ in Florianópolis, Brazil.
The mystique of the first day was the feast of the wedding at Cana. The hospitable atmosphere caused us to pray and to share the new wine of the new Alliances. Every province and region had also the opportunity to communicate priorities and decisions of their chapter.
On the second day, we prayed over the priorities. With joy, we noted that all provinces and the region have opted to have one single Province in Latin America; this was the result of the process that had taken place in terms of a new structure for this continent.
On the last day the ‘washing of the feet’ ceremony had a special significance and pointed to the need for reconciliation and unity among us. This gesture has also invited us to take common steps with regard to approach the new way, inspired by a new Alliance model; this new Alliance model will bring unity in Latin America and a new vitality forward.
