Meeting of “Young Michelistas” (Aspirants, Postulants and Novices)
"Cell phones could be broken, meaning the internet could have a connection problem, but we hope that our relationship with God will never be broken or disconnected by any situation." These were the words of Sr. Maria Rosa before closing the meeting of the Vocation Ministry team of the Province with the Aspirants, Postulants and Novices. At the beginning of the meeting, an aspirant arrived late for the videoconference meeting, because her cell phone was out of order, making it difficult to enter the zoom. It finally worked out and she was able to participate. We are very happy that all the aspirants, postulants and novices were able to participate.
This online meeting was held on December 11, 2022 (from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm), the third Sunday of Advent, known as “Joy Sunday”. This meeting was an initiative of the Pastoral Vocational team to hear and welcome the stories of aspirants, postulants and novices. Even taking place in the online modality, the spirit of the meeting is still alive in our hearts, because the activities were creatively streamlined, with various games and with the question and answer method. It was very interesting and familiar.
Through sharing we were able to hear the hopes and efforts of our young women in order to cultivate their vocation and respond to God's call.
We also share how our Christmas preparation is going on, as beautiful gifts to Baby Jesus at Christmas.
“I planted the mustard seeds before I was a postulant; I am very happy because the leaves have already grown” expressed Anjela, who is truly grateful for the process she is going through: like the planted mustard, she also experiences that she is growing in God's love. On the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, she and Lasmian were admitted to the Postulancy.
There are many experiences that excite us again. The candidates' enthusiasm motivated the Vocational Pastoral team to continue doing a good job of planting vocational seeds in the hearts of the young women. It is hoped that through the witness of life, the struggle, the mission and the encounter with others, more and more people will dare to respond YES to God's call in the Congregation of the Sisters of Divine Providence.
Tua Providentia Pater gubernat.
