"If one dreams alone, it is just a dream…
... If many dream together, then it is the beginning of a new reality.“
This sentence, often used by DOM Hélder Câmara, can also be applied to our history. In our Constitutions we read about the foundation of the Congregation of the Sisters of Divine Providence : (Text-source No.1)
“Münster, 3rd November (1842), Holy Innocents’ Day last year some friends met and discussed in what way a refuge could be offered to the many orphans who had no claim to admission to the existing public orphanages. Such a home would help them in their need and care would be taken to educate them to a devout, virtuous and industrious life, whilst also children would be admitted whose fathers or mothers were still alive, but who were in a worse position than real orphans.” (Sunday Paper for Catholic Christians, pp. 479 – 480)
